To create this pirate party I used the ever so cute Yo Ho Ho stamp set from Neat and Tangled. This challenge required more time and creativity which I loved! Just a shout out to Nothing Bundt Cakes in Eagan, MN for letting me use the cake and bundtinis for my challenge!
I made 5 different party ensembles using the Yo Ho Ho pirates stamps set. I created toppers, a gift bag, decorated the cake, and the centerpiece that also serves to hold the photo props.
The little pirate toppers came out so cute, just look at the adorable girl and boy stamps! I decided to go with a simple color scheme of red, black, brown, and a touch of golden yellow. I colored the images and die cut three stitched circles out of the black and white poka dot paper, red cardstock, and cork and layered to create the toppers. I glued these to toothpicks and put them in the bundtinis. I love how the colors even match the cake!
For this amazing cake decoration I first used the cameo silhouette to cut out a pirate ship with copper foil paper and cork and glued together. I cut some colored flags from red and yellow cardstock and stamped Ahoy matey on two. I used lots of the stamps and colored with copic markers and put them throughout the ship, my favorite, the little cat in the porthole! Behind the ship I used tissue paper to make tissue balls and layered. Above the tissue I created a double banner and put the cute little parrot on the cork center banner and added the treasure map in the center of the banners. This really makes the cake stand out!
Gift bags are one of the things i love to personalize when i give a present. I buy the plain bags in lots of colors and I create a design and put it on the front that is specific to that friend. For this gift bag I created another pirate ship just like the one on the cake and pop dotted it on the front of the gift bag. I love how it covers the whole bag and really stands out!
I love mason jars and using them for the centerpiece was an easy choice!
I created these by cutting strips of the black and white poka dot paper and glue dotting them to the mason jar. I stamped the most adorable little pirate ship and colored with the copic markers. I used my stitched circles and created the cork porthole and added large gold gems to make them really pop. I adhered this to the red cardstock also die cut with the stitched circles and pop dotted them onto the mason jars. This was one of my favorites of the bunch!
The photo props are a fun way for the kids to get into the picture taking and selfies are a must! I die cut an eye patch, a pirate bandanna, and a moustache and adhered the stamped images of the pirate, treasure map, and the adorable dog to them.
Overall, this was a fun and unique challenge and I couldn’t believe how many different things I could make using just one stamp set!
