r my birthday this year my awesome hubby wanted to make me a handmade card. He decided it was going to be card from our cats who love to “help” me when I am creating. So sweet and thoughtful of him!
He started his creation by die cutting with and learning how to use the big shot and wafer thin dies. He chose to do a stitched frame and cut it out of orange cardstock using mft stitched die-namics frame. He then picked his set of stamps and chose mft cool cats stamps. He stamped and then colored them with copic markers. His comment, “Coloring is way harder than I expected!”. He then used the coordinating dies and cut out his stamps. His favorite part was when he got to use the oxide inks and blend on the background. He loved the way the colors came out.
This is his finished card. He colored the cats just like the ones we have and added the cupcake. Orange is my favorite color and I love the brightness.
Inside he wanted to do some more of the inking and die cut a couple frames and inked. He added paw prints all over, just like my cats love to get all over my table. He’s such a joker and asked if I had a stamp that said “from your little furry helpers”!
When he wrapped my birthday present he got even more creative and added paw prints all over the wrapping paper.
I really am lucky to have such a great husband who understands and shares in my love of cardmaking! That is the best present I could have!
Thanks for letting me share a little about me and my hubby!
