This color challenge has some great colors in it and the safety orange reminded me of terra cotta flower pots. Since it is spring, finally, yeah!, I went with flowers. When I went looking through my really old cross stitch magazines that were my husband’s mothers, I saw these tall flower pots that would work perfect with the little gnomes!
Sooo, I used lots of MFT dies for this beauty:
- BB you gnome me stamp and die set
- MFT cross stitch die-namic
- MFT grassy fields dies
- MFT inside & out stitch square die-namics
- Penny Black neighborhood love wafer dies
I spent time in front of the TV watching Blue Bloods on netflix, really love that show!, cross stitching the flower pot. I decided to leave the rest white since it looks like a garden trellis, and stamped and colored the cute gnome with copic markers. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on the front grass strip and felt that was all the card needed. The cross stitched flower pot is my main focus and didn’t want anything to take away from it.
On the inside, I die cut a stitched white square and then stamped and masked the adorable mushrooms and colored with copic markers. The white on white little fence just adds a quaint touch.
This is one of my all time favorite cards ever! I love the cross stitch combined with the colored stamps for such a cute and unique card!
