This Little Piggy…

July release 2 no watermark for blog

When I saw this adorable little piggy I instantly thought it would be so cute for a baby card!

To create this monochromatic card, I began with resizing the pig popsicle digital stamp to about 2.5″, typed out my sentiment and printed them on alcohol marker paper.  I colored the piggy with copic markers: R30, R20, R21, R32, R22, E000, E00, E01, E02, and the stick: E95, E97, E99 and then fussy cut around him.

For the cloud background I die cut Craftin Desert Divas scallop die to make a template to use to create the clouds.  I started at the top and worked my way down shifting the cloud template left or right on thick 110lb white cardstock.  I used three colors of the Tim Holtz Oxide inks: tattered roseworn lipstick, and abandoned coral from lightest to darkest.  I then die cut the clouds out of Craftin Desert Divas inside scallop rectangle die and glued to the center of my card base.

The sentiment I die cut using Craftin Desert Divas flag banner die and glued near the bottom of the cloud background.  I pop dotted the adorable little piggy and added two bow ties I die cut from vellum using the Craftin Desert Divas inside scallop rectangle die set and layered over the top of the popsicle stick with glue dots.

For my embellishments I added shimmer sequins using glue dots and added smaller enamel dots on the vellum bow tie and around the sequins with Nuvo rosewater jewel drops.

I really love how the clouds fade and draw your eyes down to the little piggy!

Thanks for visiting!
