Summertime at our house is all about the watermelon and this challenge was so fun to make a card that reminds me of my summers!
To create this card I used:
- Newton’s Nook Designs Summer Scoops stamp set
- MFT inside & out stitched square dies
- MFT inside & out stitched rectangle dies
- Authentique 6 x 6 cheerful paper
- copic markers
- black nuvo drops
To make this card, I started by repeatedly stamping the let’s chill from Newton’s Nook Designs Summer Scoop stamp set with memento black ink. I trimmed it to fit a little smaller on the bottom right and adhered to my card base. I angled the wicker pattern paper and trimmed to fit the card. I then die cut the pattern paper with stitched die and adhered at a angle over the wicker paper.
I die cut the 4 black stitched squares from dies and heat embossed the sentiment with white. I then stamped the ice cream bars, colored with copic markers, and added some small black nuvo drops. Next, pop dotted the squares and then pop dotted the watermelon ice cream bars on the squares. For my embellishments, I added a variety of enamel dots to the top left corner.
Inside, I die cut a stitched rectangles from black cardstock and the wicker pattern paper. I then stamped the sentiment on the wicker paper and then added an extra watermelon ice cream bar.
Love the way this card came out with the watermelon ice cream bars and the angle of the paper!
