Getting Creative with your CDD Stencils!

This week at Craftin Desert Divas we are going to share some great creative ways you can use your stencils! CDD has some of the best selection of stencils that can be used for more than just one purpose! You can see them all here.  Also, if you are quick enough you can take advantage of the CDD Labor Day sale through Monday Sept. 3!

Probably my favorite way to use stencils are with pastes or mousses, they add such a great depth and shine to a card without too much work!

To create this simple and sweet card, I used the CDD blooming tree stencil.  I taped off the leaves and inked the tree base with oxide inks: antique linen & gathered twig.  I then taped off the tree base and used shimmer paste on the leaves.  I used thick watercolor paper to hold the paste well and not warp.

The cute bear and bee I stamped from the new August release stamp set CDD critter punnies.  Isn’t he just the cutest!  I colored them with copics and fussy cut them.  I die cut the grass from CDD outdoor landscape 2 dies set from fabric paper for a nice texture.  I stamped the adorable sentiment from the CDD critter punnies and adhered it to a peach shimmer paper.  I pop dotted the bear and the bee for a little dimension.  For the final touch, I used a water and a paintbrush and added some broken china oxide ink around the bear.

Take advantage of this Labor day sale and see all the stencils and mousses Craftin Desert Divas has to offer along with their new August release!

Thanks,

Candice
