Interactive Box Card

Craftin Desert Divas Design Team are sharing interactive cards for the challenge this week!  I decided to do a fun and bright box card using Craftin Desert Divas easy to use box card die.  With this box card die I was able to put this beauty together rather quickly!

I am a lover of dies, especially stitched dies, and I used quite a few for this box card to help make it go faster from CDD:

To begin I die cut the box card and die cut the window in the front and trimmed off the flap.  I added a piece of acetate behind the window.  All the cute critters and mermaid I colored with copics and accented with the white pen.

For the inserts, I die cut the coral, and waves from the ocean border dies & the sand from the fall border dies.  I colored the coral with copics, the waves I inked with broken china & salty ocean, and the sand with antique linen.  Using the spacers that come with the box die set I glued them to the spacers and to the inside of the card.

I added the colored images with glue and pop dots to add even more dimension.  For the flaps, I used the stitched dies from the box card die set on water color paper and inked with the broken china and salty ocean.  I then heat embossed  sentiment using versamark and white embossing powder for the side flaps.  On the back flap, I used broken china ink over the cloud stencil to create the sky.
