We are on Day 2 at Craftin Desert Divas of January’s sneak peek release! If you love cute adorable critters dressed up as Pirates, than this is the stamp set for you! The new release will be available on 1/16!
Craftin Desert Divas has a large selection of items to create lots of pirate themed projects! I used these ones to create this card:
- Pirate Pals stamp set (available 1/16)
- wishful thoughts stamps set
- white pen
- sending die
- torn paper die
- fancy frames die to create the flip tab
- burst stencil
- oxide inks: broken china, antique linen, frayed burlap, & gathered twigs
- jingle berries sequins
- memento black ink
- versafine black ink
I knew I wanted to create a treasure map for these pirate pals to hide behind, so I started with watercolor paper and inked with antique linen, frayed burlap, & gathered twigs. I die cut the inked paper with the largest torn paper die, keeping the two pieces together. Next, I took the stitched rectangle die and ran it part way through the die cutting machine to get my flip tab. I set this aside for a while.
On the inside, I inked the burst stencil with broken china ink on white cardstock and trimmed to fit behind the opening. I added the pirate pals and lots of sequins in the treasure chest. I then pop dotted this behind the treasure map and pop dotted on a trimmed black cardstock.
To finish up the front, I added the stamped and colored images from Pirate Pals with pop dots, stamped the sentiment in versafine, and added the sending die cut from gold foil paper. For the final touches, I drew dashed lines with a copic marker and added a few more gold sequins.
I hope you continue to follow our January release as the CDD design team share their amazing projects with you!
I’ll leave you with the Pirate Pals all colored up! Thanks!
