We are getting close to the end of our January release at Craftin Desert Divas, which means we are closer to them being available for you on the 1/16! I am sharing this card I created using the Pirate Treasures stamp set, just the cutest!
I used Craftin Desert Divas great product for this card:
- Pirate Treasure stamp set (available 1/16)
- beach scene stencil
- torn paper dies for the hooray
- window pane die
- ocean borders dies
- flag banner dies
- oxide inks: squeezed lemonade & mustard seed for the sun, antique linen & tea dye for the sand and palm trees, twisted citron & shabby shutters for the leaves, tumbled glass & salty ocean for the waves, and hickory smoke for the birds
- clear nuvo drops
- memento black ink
- versamark ink
I love the color scheme of this card! I started the card with 110 lb white card stock and then trimmed another piece to fit the width of the card. I ran the top and bottom through the die cutting machine using the top of the window pane die. I then taped the beach scene stencil near the top and inked with the different colors of oxide inks listed above.
Next, I die cut the waves on watercolor paper, inked with the blues and splattered with water and dabbed off. I glued these under the sand and heat embossed the sentiment from Pirate Treasures stamp set in gold with versamark ink. I die cut the banner from 110 lb black card stock and added the die cut hooray from gold foil paper on top. I then pop dotted this going off of the card over the bottom of the waves.
Then I stamped the Pirate and Parrot from Pirate Treasures using memento ink, colored with copics, and fussy cut out. I pop dotted them next to the banner and added clear nuvo drops around the sentiment.
Take a moment and see what the CDD design team has created for the January release so far here.
