Pirate Pals Pop Up

I hope you are enjoying the Craftin Desert Divas January release as much as I am!  I got to play with the two Pirate stamp sets, Pirate Pals and Pirate Treasures!  I’m sharing a pull tab card I created for this cute little pirate tiger that pops up from the boat!

I have fallen hard for interactive cards and can’t stop finding new ways to use them!  For this card I have the cute little tiger from the new Pirate Pals stamp set popping up from the ship!  This card reminds me of a kids imagination playing pirate!

I started the card with 110lb white card stock for the base and trimmed another sheet just a little bit smaller.  This will hide my pull tab.  I set those aside for a while.

To create the picture, I die cut the frame kraft card stock and die cut the waves and inked with broken china oxide ink.  The ship I cut using my cameo silhouette from kraft card stock and the port holes from black velvet and gold foil paper.  I then stamped the images from the Pirate Pals stamp set with memento ink, colored with copics, and fussy cut out.

I took the trimmed white card stock and masked around the size of the frame and created the clouds with fossilized amber oxide ink.

To put it all together with the pull tab, I used the lawn fawn pull tab die on the cloud paper.  I glued the large wave down and added the niche for pulling the tiger up and adhered him to the tab.  I pop dotted the ship over the tiger with the flag and bottom wave and frame.

The sentiment I heat embossed in gold using versamark and trimmed.  For the final touches, I added the bottle and some clear nuvo drops.

I hope this inspires you to create your own pirate themed projects and share on Craftin Desert Divas Gallery on FB and check out the DT inspiration at CDD IG!

Thank you!

Candice
