Favorite Red/Pink Color Combos

This week at Craftin Desert Divas the Design Team is sharing our favorite red/pink combos with you!  I know I love a good color combo and keep checking out the Craftin Desert Divas FB Gallery daily for your inspirations!  I bring you my color combos today using oxide inks in this sweet valentine’s card using the Mice to Meet You stamp set.

I used a few great Craftin Desert Divas products:

I wanted the reds and pinks to really pop on this card, so I went with a lot of white for the background and accent dies.  I started by die cutting Tim Holtz watercolor paper,  with texture side up, with the stitched scallop frame.  I then inked the bottom corner with the cloud stencil using worn lipstick & spun sugar going darker to lighter.  Next I heat embossed the sentiment with silver using versamark.

For the rainbow, I inked watercolor paper with the 4 oxide inks, spun sugarworn lipstickabandoned coral, & festive berries and then die cut out with the rainbow die.  I glued it down touching the edge of the card to give movement to the bottom half.  I then die cut the large stitched clouds and smaller cloud adhering to the card with glue and pop dots.

For the mouse, I stamped with black ink, colored with copic markers, and fussy cut out.  Next, I pop dotted her in the clouds and added silver nuvo drops on her buttons and added wink of stella to the smaller hearts.

For the embellishments, I added different colors and shapes of sequins from carnie & love bug sets.

My love of reds and pinks tend to go to the coral side and I hope you will give these combos a try on your cards!  If you do, please share your designs using CDD product with us on the FB Craftin Desert Divas Gallery!

Thanks,

Candice
