Create a Smile Sketch Challenge

Create a Smile sketch challenge

When I saw this sketch challenge I instantly knew what I wanted to create, and the bonus was, it was with my new stamps I got from Create a Smile last month!  I saw the three circles and they had to be the rocks in the Fur Real stamp set and I had to add the cuties on top of those rocks!

I love how this card came out!  I started by inking water color paper with dried marigold and spiced marmalade using a sunray stencil.  I then die cut a stitched hill, heat embossed the ever so cute sentiment in black, and then inked with shabby shutters and bundled sage.  Next, I splattered with water and white paint and set aside to dry.

I then had some fun experimenting with the fronds from the Fine Ferns stamp set stamping the solid ferns with shabby shutters and bundled sage.  I then fussy cut them out to make two borders.  Next, I stamped the outlined fronds with barely beige and tried some no line coloring with copic markers.  They came out fabulous, they have a watercolor look!

I stamped the cuties on the rocks with a little masking, colored with copic markers, and fussy cut them out.  To put the card all together, I layered with lots of pop dots.  I then finished it with a few gold sequins to give a little shine!

I’m getting my card in under the wire here for the challenge, but you can always check out their challenges and they have just release their adorable March release!

Thanks for swinging by,

Candice
