Sweet Sea Creatures!

I have a really sweet simple underwater card for you today using the new July release from Whimsy Stamps!

0730-sea circles

Here are the fabulous Whimsy Stamps products I used:

I began my slim line card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base and trimmed the extra piece a little smaller than the front.

I first inked the front piece lightly with tumbled glass around the edges and die cut stitched circles, leaving some extra space for the banner.  I then inked another piece to fit behind the circles using the wave stencil and mermaid lagoon, peacock feathers & tumbled glass.  Next, I added wink of stella to the waves for some sparkle.  I love a little shimmer!

I stamped the sea creatures, colored with soft copic markers, and fussy cut out.  Then I die cut the coral and inked with twisted citron & shaded lilac.

To put the card together I pop dotted the circle piece over the waves and added the coral along the bottom and the sea cuties in each circle.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white on the stitched banner and inked with mermaid lagoon & peacock feathers.  For my finishing touches I added sparkletz (sequins Whimsy style!) and blue nuvo drops.

I love the simple design of this slim line and the bubbles all along one side!

copic markers used:

  • jellyfish-BV01, V20, BV000, BV0000 & 0
  • turtle-YG05, YG0, YG21, YG00, YG0000, G21, G20 & 0
  • starfish-YR65, YR61, YR000, YR0000 & 0

You can see the July release here and be ready in a few days on 8/1 we will have our August release available!

Thanks for stopping by!
