Bright Underwater Scene!

I have had so much fun creating with these sweet sea creatures and wanted to use a new bright color palette for this card!

I used these wonderful Whimsy Stamps products:

I began my slim line card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.  They fit perfectly into the size 9A envelopes which can easily be found at your local craft store or online!

I began the background by repeatedly stamping the sea creatures in a very light ink and die cutting the two stitched circles.  I inked the seedless preserves over the wave stencil and after taking it off I inked the whole piece with milled lavender.  To add some sparkle I added some nuvo glitter accents.

While that dried, I then stamped some sea creatures, colored with copic markers and added some accents with a white pen and fussy cut out.

Next, I die cut the coral and inked in cracked pistachio, mustard seed, abandoned coral & spiced marmalade.

To put the card together, I pop dotted the repeatedly stamped piece on the front and layered the coral behind the circles and pop dotted the cute sea creatures.

I heat embossed the sentiment in pink on a stitched banner and added some bubbles and blue nuvo drops.

Copic markers I used:

  • seahorse-Y38, Y35, Y32, B02, B01, B00, B000, B0000 & 0
  • turtle-G05, G03, G02, G00, G000, G0000 & 0
  • starfish-R02, R01, R00, R000, R0000 & 0
