Double Magic Iris Surprise!

I had this fabulous idea to try and fit two of these awesome Magic Iris’s from Lawn Fawn onto one card and decided to make it a birthday one to enter into the Lawn Fawn challenge #73-birthdays!

Lawn Fawn challenge #73 open

I used these new Lawn Fawn products for my card:

I had to create a special slimline size to fit both of my magic iris’s onto and made an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 card base which just means I will most likely add this into a gift bag without an envelope.  I think it is sooo worth it with the result I got!

For the background, I first die cut a stitched panel using the partial die cut method to get the length I wanted and then I used a homemade cloud stencil with festive berries, abandoned coral, wild honey, fossilized amber & scattered straw.

I then worked on making the two magic iris’s following the instructions HERE, using some sparkle vellum as my “sausages” that close over the images!  To cover my magic iris’s, I inked the circles with the colors I used for the clouds, creating an ombre effect with them.  I then die cut two more circles from cloud acetate and laid over the inked circles.  I just LOVE how it came out, don’t you!?

Next, I stamped the cuties from the Really High Five stamp set, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I also stamped the sentiments and trimmed to be banners.  I then lined up my images and stamped the YAY and WHEE directly onto the card base background.  I then adhered my two magic iris’s and all the images with foam tape and glue.

To finish this sweet card, I added a few clear domes onto the balloons for a bit of shine!

I hope you like how this sweet card turned out, I sure do and will need to make more, the magic iris die is addicting!

You also have some more time to enter into the Lawn Fawn challenge, it’s open until April 5th!

Thank you for stopping by!
