I am excited to be joining in with the Waffle Flower July Challenge with Galina for this week’s inspiration using Classic Christmas colors! You can come join in this month’s challenge by creating any project with the theme Christmas!
Who doesn’t love the Classic red and green to get you in the holiday spirit and I used it on this fun and joyful cookie card!
I used these Waffle Flower products to create my slimline design:
I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.
For the background, I first die cut the scalloped lacy edge from Bristol Smooth cardstock, inked it with aged mahogany, barn door, and festive berries and glued to the center of my card. I then die cut the oversized ‘merry’ multiple times with the top layer cut from black velvet cardstock and off set it.
Next, I stamped the cute bakers, stove, and kitty, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I arranged my layout and then glued or used foam tape on the images to give depth to the card. I finished with the sentiment stamped on an angled banner, stamped the brick on the backgrounds, and sprinkled a few green jewels around!
