Flower Friends Shaker

This card’s background was inspired by the very talented Barbara Anders and you can see her original card here! I just saw this background and knew it was perfect for these flower friends!

I used these products for my shaker card:

I first created the background by inking the sun ray in mustard seed & squeezed lemonade on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I then die cut the grass and inked it with twisted citron & shabby shutters. I adhered them to the front of the card.

I then created the shaker window by die cutting the stitched frame from thick white card stock and using scor-tape I adhered the acetate to the back. I then trimmed thin strips of foam tape on the back of the frame and added the sequins directly onto the card front and put the frame over it for perfect alignment.

Next, I stamped the flower friends, colored them with copic markers and fussy cut them out. I adhered them to the acetate with foam tape.

I finished the card with a banner with a sentiment that I heat embossed in white and inked with the mustard seed & squeezed lemonade.

I just adore how sweet and bright this card turned out, it also helps that I just love yellow!

Thank you!

Purple Onion Designs is doing something wonderful for our communities across the world! She has worked with the amazing Stacey Yacula and designed this We are in this Together stamp selling for $13 and $10 of the sale is donated to the United Way Worldwide Covid-19 Community Response & Recovery Fund.

I began my card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which is the right size for your standard envelopes.

For the background, I first inked the area I wanted the sun rays with scattered straw and then used the sun ray stencil and inked the rest of the card front with dried marigold. I then added the die cut white fence.

Next, I stamped the adorable group of cuties, colored them with Zig clean color markers, and fussy cut out. I used foam tape to add them behind the grass that I inked with shabby shutters & bundled sage.

To finish the card, I stamped the sweet sentiment onto a speech bubble, added a few clouds and some orange sequins for a bit of sparkle!

Love Bug!

I could not believe my luck when I was looking through my pattern papers and found this VW bug that matched so perfectly with the Mini Bus from Purple Onion Designs!

I used these products to create my card:

I began my card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base that fits wonderfully into your standard size envelopes.

For the background, I first die cut the VW Bug pattern paper from the stitched slimline die and adhered to the center of the card front. I then heat embossed a piece of Bistrol Smooth cardstock with the itsy bitsy polka dots stamp in white. I used my cameo silhouette to cut out the large LOVE from the polka dot paper and inked them with rusty hinge, spiced marmalade & dried marigold in ombre.

Next, I stamped the mini bus, colored with copic markers to match the pattern paper and fussy cut out.

To put the card together, I adhered the letters and the bus with foam tape and added a few copper sequins.

Thank you so much for swinging by!

Candice-Julian Charlton new release birthday squad

For this fun birthday card I used the new Lottie’s Gang-Birthday Squad, one of three in the Lottie’s Gang series of stamps!

I began the card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits nicely into your standard size envelopes.

I went with pattern paper because I feel these stamps work well with whimsy and patterns are a perfect match!  I die cut the colorful polka dots from a stitched panel and created the second large polka dot pattern using stencils.  I first die cut the scalloped panel and then inked the whole thing with squeezed lemonade. Using the first polka dots stencil I inked with shabby shutters and then the second one I used twisted citron.

Next, I stamped the adorable birthday squad, colored them with copic markers, added a few white accents with a white pen and fussy cut out.  I adhered them with foam tape for dimension and stamped the sentiment in versafine black for a crisp print on my inked panel.

To continue the polka dot theme, I added some colored domes to continue the flow up the card.

I would now take the time to go and see the adorable new release, you will be squealing with delight!

Thank you so much for coming by!
