Christmas on the Farm

I hope you guys are ready for this amazing new Pine Cone Trail collection from Purple Onion Designs available today!  They are so versatile and mix well with previous sets as I did with this card!

Candice-Mistletoe farm with new snowman & hedgehog

The adorable Purple Onion Designs stamps I used for this card are:

I started my card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base that fits wonderfully into the size 9A envelopes.

All the images were stamped using the awesome 6×6 clear mounted stamp that works perfectly into my misti and allows me to get a great line up of images and to be able to stamp again if I missed some ink!

For the background, I trimmed kraft cardstock and heat embossed the clouds and sentiment in white and inked the bottom half with shabby shutters & bundled sage oxide inks.

I then stamped the farm horizon. colored with copic markers and fussy cut the top off.  I pop dotted this over the sky.

Next, I stamped snowman & birdhedgehogchickpigbarrelwood pile & plant, colored them all with copic markers, and fussy cut out.

To put the card together, I die cut some snowhills and layered all the cuties, pop dotting some for dimension.

For my final touch, I just added a few white pearls.

Take some time to see all the adorable new winter cuties in this new collection and there is a discount bundle if you purchase the whole Pine Cone Trail collection!

The stamps will be offered as a bundle with a discount of 30%, this makes the 19 stamp/stamp set collection $85.00.  This offer is only until Friday, November 8, 2019.  After that time the stamps will only be available to purchase individually.

A Blue Halloween

Hello to all my crafty friends today, I hope you are having a fantastic fall day!

Today I am sharing a non-traditional Halloween, almost monochromatic, card that I am sooo happy with!

0925-blue halloween 2

I used the Stacey Yacula fabulous designs from Purple Onion Designs:

I began my slimline card by creating an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base that fits perfectly into the size 9A envelopes.

0925-blue halloween

I created the background by heat embossing the stars in white and  inking with weathered wood, stormy sky & tumbled glass for the sky.

Next, I made the fence by die cutting two silver and multiples from white scraps of thick cardstock and layered.  I then stamped the birch trees, colored with copics, and fussy cut out.  I layered them over vellum die cut grass and topped with the fence.  The tops of the birch trees I raised using pop dots.

I stamped the pumpkins and Midnight, colored with copics in blues and greys, fussy cut out and pop dotted over the fence.

To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a stitched banner and weaved between the trees.  I added a few blue star sequins along with some nuvo white drops for dimension.

I really hope you take a chance and try a non-traditional color for your next holiday card, you just might love it!

Thanksgiving Raccoon

How many of you have bought tons of pattern paper and spent the money on background dies but haven’t used them much?!  Me, me, me!!!  So today, I am sharing a card with you using up some of my supply!

0917-raccoon with pumpkin

My center stage is using Purple Onion Designs stamps:

0917-raccoon with pumpkin close up

I started by stamping Ginger & the birch trees, colored with copic markers and fussy cut out.  I love that Purple Onion Designs is now carrying this amazing clear mounting stamp  to use in the Misti, it gives me a clear impression every time!  I then stamped the sentiment in brown ink on a stitched banner.  I set these aside as I created the card front.

0917-raccoon with pumpkin side

For the background, I die cut some fall plaid pattern paper and centered on the card base.  Next, I die cut the shimmer maroon paper from two different background dies and layered them.  I then picked some complimentary patterns and die cut them from leaves.

To put it together, I pop dotted the banner across the bottom and adhered the trees and Ginger above it.  I then pop dotted the leaves and I kept it simple and let the pattern be my embellishments!

I hope you are inspired to pull out some of your stash and use it to create this week!

You can swing into the Purple Onion Designs store and check out their adorable selection of holiday sets!

Thank you!
