We Are Meant to Bee!

Happy New Year!  Candice with you today sharing a few of my favorites from Sunny Studio Stamps on my bumblebee Valentine’s slimline card!

Candice-0103-designers choice

My slimline card base measures 8 1/2 x 3 1/2, a perfect size for standard and size 9A envelopes.  For my background, I first inked with mustard seed & squeezed lemonade and then splattered with black, yellow & white shimmer sprays.

While I let that dry, I die cut multiples of the honeycomb from the Frilly Frames Hexagon die, layered two sets and then trimmed to fit on the front.  I then created the scalloped circle tags from white and black thick cardstock.  To create the polka dots on the white tags, I used the Frilly Frames Polka-dot die as a stencil and filled them in with a black pen.  I put them together off center with some twine.

Next, I stamped my images from the adorable Just Bee-cause stamp set, colored with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut out.  To finish the card, I stamped my sentiment and trail on a banner and using foam tape covered the separation of the honeycombs.  To make it a Valentine’s card, I die cut the hearts from the Basic Mini Shapes dies II in red glitter and added a few white pearls.

Sweet Hoggy Kisses!

Welcome, I hope you all had a fabulous Holiday season!  Candice with you today and I am jumping right into my favorite crafting holiday, Valentine’s Day!  I think it is all the red and pinks I get to play with and those colors are perfect for the Hogs & Kissed set I used on my treat bag!

I used these fun Sunny Studio products for my treat bag:

To create the bag base , I followed the instructions that you can find here.  They are very easy to follow and you can create 3 styles with one die set!  The heart pattern paper came from the versatile Subtle Grey Tones pack.

Next, I die cut multiples of the sweet word, topping them with white cardstock and pink & red velvet paper.  I then stamped the piggy twice, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut out.

I then stamped the Quote bubble and sentiment and cut out using the coordinating dies.  For the glitter hearts, I used the heart dies found in the Basic Mini Shape diesBasic Mini Shape dies II.  I tend to hold onto every little scrap of glitter paper just for this use with the little dies!  I used foam tape to adhere them on both sides of the bag.  To finish, I simply knotted some white rick rack through the holes.

Shaking it, Flamingo Style!

Hi my Crafty friends, Candice back with you this Friday!  If you have noticed a tropical theme from me the past couple of weeks, you can blame it on my family that lives in Florida while I am stuck in the snow!  I can only dream (and create) about the warmth!

I am showcasing these amazing new Scalloped Tag dies, which come with two sizes, and the larger size is perfect to turn into a shaker!

Candice-1220-scalloped tags

To create the tropical tags, I used these Sunny Studio products:

I began my tags by first die cutting the scalloped tags from striped pattern paper and using a square die, cut out the center.  I then die cut two more scalloped tags from white cardstock, inked the bottom with twisted citron and the tops with spun sugar and stamped the sentiments from Santa Claus LaneFabulous Flamingos  stamp sets.

To put the shaker tags together, I added acetate behind the pattern tags and filled with sequins.  Next, I stamped the flamingos, leaves, fruit, presents, ornaments and candy canes, colored with copic markers and cut out using the coordinating dies listed above.

To finish the tags, I die cut and layered the christmas lights, colored with copic markers and added some green stickles for sparkle!  I also added a few accents to the images with a white pen.

I hope you can have fun making some amazing Christmas tags to really show off that gift you so thoughtfully got for someone special!

Thank you for visiting and have a Very Merry Holiday!

The Sunny Studio products I used for my card:

For the background, I first heat embossed the bubbles in white and then inked over with tumbled glass oxide ink.  I then die cut the Christmas Garland Frame from navy glitter paper, using a shim to get a deep cut through the thickness of the cardstock.  I love how it looks like coral for this card!

Next, I stamped the fishes and winter accessories, colored with copic markers and then used the coordinating dies listed above to cut out.  The christmas lights I stamped and cut out with the coordinating dies, colored with copics and added yellow stickles for some shimmer.

To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment in white from both the Merry Mice and Best Fishes stamp sets on a red banner.  For the embellishments, I simply added a few navy domes from the Rainbow Pearls.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Favorite Christmas Superhero!

It’s Candice with you today and I hope you are all getting ready for a fabulous weekend of crafting and I have some inspiration for you using the versatile Scenic Route stamp set!

Candice-1122-scenic route

How many of you just had to get the adorable superheroes this summer and just haven’t gotten to use them as much as you would like?!  I decided to tie them into the holiday season, a perfect card for the comic lover in your family!

The Sunny Studio Stamps products I used are:

Candice-1122-scenic route side

I first die cut the frame, using the negative to frame my scene.  I filled the scene first with the night sky pattern paper and added the copic colored and glittered hills under the moon.  Next, I colored the houses and used the coordinating dies to cut out and pop dotted along the hillside.

I then die cut the stitched snowhills, layering along the bottom of the card and pop dotted the frame on top of the scene.  For the sentiments, I first heat embossed the you’re my favorite super hero on two separate navy banners and then die cut multiples of the christmas, the top one out of red glitter.  I then die cut the comic bubble out of the same navy and heat embossed the ho, ho, ho in white and pop dotted it next to the Christmas superhero.  I added a few green pearls to tie in the green around the sentiment.

I hope you are inspired to use some of your summer sets for Christmas in different ways!

Thank you!
