You Give Me Goosebumps!

Do you love sweet stories?  Well, do I have a fantastic real life one for you today!

Christine, the owner of Create a Smile Stamps works at a youth center in Germany where kids and teenagers can spend their free time with friends and activities.  One girl, Thalia, whom Christine has known now for 7 years, sat down with her to draw.  At the time she was only 15 and Christine knew she had to turn her drawings into stamps.  Sooo she bought these images for the “Scarylicious” stamp set in the new release this Friday, September 27!  It was the first time Thalia had made her own money and she was super proud!  What an amazing story!

I used some new release and some older from Create a Smile:

I began my card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits perfectly into the size 9A envelopes.

I created the background first by stamping the circles from the Geometrics stamp set (available 9/27) and heat embossed them in black.  Then I inked using black soot, hickory smoke, dusty concord, seedless preserves & milled lavender and then splattered with black, raspberry & gold shimmer sprays with a damp paint brush.

While that was drying, I stamped the sentiment from the Scarylicious stamp set (available 9/27) on a stitched banner and heat embossed in gold.  Next, I stamped the image from Scarylicious stamp set (available 9/27), colored with copic markers, and fussy cut out.  I pop dotted him in the center of the gold frame which I layered on other frames to create a thick one.

To finish the card, I added some domes in gold and clear along with some black nuvo drops.

The September release for Create a Smile is this Friday, September 27, so keep your eyes out on IG & FB as the Design Team shares sneak peeks with you!
