Moose Angels? Yes Please!

It’s day 3 which means we are half way through the Craftin Desert Divas November release and I am sharing the new Christmoose stamp set!

CDD November release card 1 final

I tried a new technique in this card and absolutely love the results!  I used barely beige ink to repeatedly stamp the moose & squirrel snow angels on white cardstock and shaded with copic colors W00 & W00.  It gives such a great background to showcase the colored images!

I trimmed some coral paper and adhered behind the shaded strip and pop dotted near the right edge.  I then heat embossed the adorable sentiment with platinum.  Next, I stamped the moose & squirrel with memento black ink and colored with a soft palette of copic markers.  I then fussy cut them out and added some accents with glitter using the wink of stellar pen & uniball white pen and pop dotted on the card.  For my embellishments, I added some shimmer sequins & orange nuvo jewel drops.

Simple card to highlight the background and such cute critters!  These will be available for you to get your hands on on 11/13.  In the meantime, check out all the cute release we have share so far on the Craftin Desert Divas blog.

You Yeti Yet?

I’m bringing you a sneak peek super fun Christmas card using the Winter Yeti’s stamp set & snowflake die from Craftin Desert Divas available soon!

CDD November release card 3 final

I love the colors and brightness of this card!  I used lots of great CDD products:

This was a quick card if you like to make those!  I started by stamping a polka dot pattern on white cardstock with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Unfortunately you can’t see it clearly in the picture, but it is so shiny! I then die cut the snowflake frame with red cardstock and glued over the white polka dot cardstock.  Next, I printed off the you & yet from my printer and die cut the glitter yeti from my cameo silhouette.

For the center piece of my card, I stamped the Winter Yeti’s stamp set on copic x-press it paper, trimmed them to have images cut off, and colored with my copic markers.  I added some accents with a uniball white pen and pop dotted in the center of the frame.

I love the quirkiness of this Christmas card!  This fun Winter Yeti’s stamp set & snowflake dies will be available 11/13 for you to own!

Create a Smile Challenge-Create Your Own Background

If you haven’t seen the absolutely adorable stamp sets from Create A Smile take time to check out their cuties!  You will love them!  They even have digital freebies that you can use to enter into their bi-weekly challenges which is what I used today to create this card.

Create a smile challenge create your own background

The current challenge is to create your own background and I did that using the freebie sentiment of Happy New Year which I repeated and printed out along with the celebration drink.  I printed them out on x-press it paper so I could color the repeated YEAR with copic markers: B60, B63, B66, & B69.  Love these colors, they are just the perfect bluish purple shade!

After coloring, I then die cut it using a stitched rectangle and pop dotted on a trimmed piece of silver glitter paper.  I have to add glitter and shine where ever I can and New Years always has to have sparkle!  Yeah!  Next, I colored the celebration drink with the blue copics and added dark pinks with RV63, RV66, & RV69 on the passion fruit.  I added a bit of cool greys with C0 & C1 to the ice cubes and lots of wink of stella for the liquid.

I fussy cut out the drink and glued it onto a smaller stitched rectangle vellum and adhered to the center of the card.  For the final embellishments, I wanted to add a bit more of the dark pink and used some enamel accents to give a little pop.

Now it’s your turn to enter the current Create a Smile challenge!

YNS Challenge #100

Your Next Stamp has some amazing stamps that are great for their new challenge, Create a Scene and I used the Autumn Harvest stamp set to create this fall card!

YNS challenge 100

This card was a lot of die cutting and inking to create the background scene using:

For the fox, mice, and sentiment I used the autumn harvest stamp set.  To create the accents on the leaves and fox I used the white uniball pen.

I love making fall cards and going apple picking and enjoyed creating this one!

Cool Skiing Fox, Of Course!

It’s day 3, our final day of our Craftin Desert Divas October release which means you get to get your own tomorrow!!! Whoo-hoo! Today I am sharing the so cool Ski-Sons stamp set with skiing cuties and some adorable sledding friends.

CDD October release card 1 IG final

For this card I used a lot of great CDD product to give the shaker depth:

This was a large scene shaker which was new to me to make, and I loved it!  It’s like creating a scene and wrapping it in sequins!  Love it!

I started by trimming watercolor paper to fit behind the frame and inked with twisted citron & salty ocean.  I then die cut the 2 sets of the mountains from white cardstock and snow caps from white glitter paper.  I layered them over the inked paper and set aside.

To create the shaker, I die cut a double sided adhesive foam sheet and white cardstock using inside scalloped rectangle dies.  I trimmed heat resistant acetate and stamped snowflakes and heat embossed in white.  I added this on top of the double sided adhesive foam frame and then glued the white frame on top.  Next, I flipped it over, rubbed with my anti-static pouch on the acetate and the sides of the foam to keep the sequins from sticking to much.  I added the sequins from three different sets, polar frostemerald isle & starburst picking the colors that matched.  I added the mountain scene to the top to make my shaker complete.

To finish off the card, I stamped the skiing fox from Ski-Sons stamp set, colored with copic markers, and fussy cut out.  I cut the letters from my cameo silhouette from watercolor paper using the Impact font and inked the bottoms with twisted citron & salty ocean.  I glued these down over the shaker adding the fox for the I.

All of the stamp sets we have shared this past 3 days will be available tomorrow here.

Trolls, Trolls, & More Adorable Trolls!

Craftin Desert Divas is kicking off their fantastic October release today!  I am sharing the new Christmas Trolls stamp set that is so fun to color!  I love cluster stamps and who doesn’t love a bunch of cute trolls singing carols?!

CDD October release card 2 IG final

For these cards I wanted to show a different way to use them in case you didn’t want to or have the time to color the whole image.

To start my cards I trimmed watercolor paper and heat embossed the sentiment and music notes in white.  I then inked the paper with faded jeans & blueprint sketch.  I die cut the snow using the stitched scalloped dies and added over the bottom.

For the trolls, I stamped twice, one on white cardstock and one on x-press it paper from the new Christmas Trolls stamp set.  I took the trolls stamped on the x-press it paper and die cut them from my cameo silhouette using the Impact font in Merry & Cheer.  I then colored with copic markers and edged with a black pen to highlight the letters.  Next, I pop dotted them over the full black & white trolls.  For the final embellishments, I added white nuvo drops for snow and some sparkle star sequins.

I love how the colors pop and that using the clusters trolls this way didn’t really take to long and allowed me to make two cards! Hope I inspire you to try a bit of the black & white on your card with this fun Christmas Trolls stamp set!

These will all be available in the Craftin Desert Divas shop on 10/23! We will be sharing the some more tomorrow so check back and see all the cuteness!
