Have a Mice Christmas

Hello my crafty friends, it’s Candice with you this Friday! One of my favorite Sunny Studio sets is this Merry Mice one with these adorable little Christmas mice!

I used these Sunny Studio products for my slimline design:

I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.

For the background, I die cut the stitched panel from Bristol Smooth cardstock, inked it with cracked pistachio, salvaged patina, and tumbled glass, and splattered with white paint and gold shimmer spray with a damp paint brush.

Next, I stamped the mice and accessories from the Merry Mice and Harvest Mice stamp sets, colored the with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out. I arranged them on the stitched snow hills and stamped the sentiment along the top!

For a Koality Friend!

Hello! It’s Candice with you this fabulous Friday and sharing a cute little mini slimline design perfect for any friend using the adorable Outback Critters set!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my slimline card:

I began my mini slimline with a 6 1/2 x 4 card base.

For the background, I created the extended pattern by using the partial die cut method (run through partway, rotate and line up, and run through partway again!) using the Retro Petals and Stitched Rectangle dies from Kraft cardstock.

Next, I stamped the koalas, birds, and leaves, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies listed above to cut them out. I arranged them on some stitched circles inked with shabby shutters using glue on the leaves and foam tape on the critters for some dimension. I finished with the sentiment heat embossed on a black banner and sprinkled a few green jewels around it!

I Wheelie Like You!

Have you seen these absolutely adorable Happy Hamsters from Sunny Studio stamps yet?! Candice with you today sharing a fun slimline card highlighting these sweeties!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my slimline design:

I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.

For the background, I first created the stitched panel using the Slimline Pennant dies using the partial die cut method (run partway through your machine, rotate and line up, and run partway through again!) I then die cut the Herringbone using this same partial die cut method to create my stencil, inking my panel with tea dye, and then die cutting the staggered stitched circles. I finished the background by gluing a piece of Kraft cardstock that was splattered with white paint and adhered the panel over it with foam tape.

Next, I stamped the hamsters, wheel, and peanuts, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added a few white accents with a pen and then put them in the circles with foam tape. I stamped my sentiment on a white banner adding it with foam tape and glued a few die cut hearts from red velvet cardstock!

Influence of a Great Teacher

Hello crafty friends, it’s Candice back with you this Friday! I know this past year of school has been tough for kids and those special teachers that were there for your kids deserve some recognition! I have a great card with a great sentiment just for that occasion!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my mini slimline design:

I began my mini slimline with a 6 1/2 x 4 card base.

I then created the stitched background with the slimline pennant die using the partial die cut method (run the die through partway, rotate and line up, and run it partway again!)

Next, I made the rainbow of pencil ends in an assembly way. I first stamped the base in all the colors and then moved to the next layer in all the colors until the pencils were created using Altenew inks. This allowed me to line it up evenly throughout all the stamping. I then used the coordinating dies to cut them all out.

I finished the clean and simple design by gluing the pencils down the right side in rainbow order, trimmed the edges, and stamped my sentiment on the left!

I hope you find inspiration to show appreciation for the teachers that have helped your family in the past year!

Thank you so much!

Hoping Your Day is Magical!

Hello crafty friends! It’s Candice with you this week continuing to share inspiration using the wonderful embossing folders from Sunny Studio stamps!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my design:

I began my card with a 6 1/2 x 5 card base.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth to fit smaller than the card base and ran it through my machine with the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder. Next, I stamped the mushroom house, flowers, and butterflies, colored them with copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then created the scalloped frame using the circle dies listed above from Kraft cardstock. I glued the frame down, tucked the mushroom house and flowers in gluing the bottoms and using foam tape on the top of the flowers for dimension.

I inked a piece of Bristol Smooth with kitsch flamingo and spun sugar, die cut it from the ‘hello‘ and layered it on top of the frame. I finished my card with the sentiment heat embossed in white on the stitched banner inked with the kitsch flamingo and spun sugar and sprinkled a few blue jewels around!
