SSS Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes

Since the SSS Wednesday Challenge was featuring MFT stamps I thought I would combine these two challenges into one card.  I am already looking ahead and have started my Father’s day cards! Yeah for not procrastinating!

The sketch had the angle for the bottom of the card and as I looked through my sets of MFT stamps the Chef from MFT Recipe for Happiness stamp and die set popped out for this card.

I started by inking the brick background with the oxide inks, aged mahogany, fired brick, and candied apple.  Next, I die cut the bottom of the white with MFT basic stitched edges die-namics and then die cut the window using MFT stitched corner frame die-namics.  I then die cut another window out of gold foil and glued into the center of frame.  I stamped the sentiment along the bottom with black versafine ink.  Next, I stamped and colored the chef, pots, and utensils with copic markers.  I glued them all flat so the foil could really sign behind the images.

Inside, I used the white stitched window left over from cutting it out of the white frame and stamped the sentiment.  I added one more foil cut stitched frame and layered behind the sentiment.  I stamped another chef and the pot, colored with copic markers and glued to the card.

The simple color palette and shine of the foil really help make this a great Father’s day card!

Thanks

Candice
