Blog Posts, Reverse Confetti

Hi, Friend

Hello ‘Fetti Friends! Candice back with you today and I have to admit I am so in love with these new Hummingbirds from the newest release, they go so well with all of the floral sets from Reverse Confetti! I combined them for a very sweet friend mini slimline card.

I used these Reverse Confetti products to create my mini slimline design:

I began my mini slimline with a 6 1/2 x 4 card base.

For the background, I first inked a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with salvaged patina, tumbled glass, and antique linen and ran it through with the Cross Tiles Cover Panel die using the partial die cut method (run it through partway, rotate and line up, and run it through partway again!). I then splattered the panel with salvaged patina, white paint, and gold shimmer spray using a damp paintbrush.

While that dried, I stamped my hummingbird and orange blossoms, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinated dies listed above to cut them out. I added some accents to the images with a white pen.

Next, I adhered them to the card front with foam tape and the sentiments heat embossed in gold around the blossoms. I finished with a sprinkle of gold jewels!

I hope you can look through the Reverse Confetti sets and see all the different critters that go so well with the floral sets, endless possibilities!

Thank you so much for visiting today!

I hope you are ready for some gorgeous inspiration using the new release from Reverse Confetti on our Blog Hop today from the Reverse Confetti DT and ‘Fetti Friends! I have an uplifting slimline card for you today using some of the new products!

I used these Reverse Confetti products for my slimline design:

I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base.

For the background, I first inked 2 pieces of Bristol Smooth, one for the ocean with faded jeans, salty ocean, and tumbled glass and the sunset with tea dye, milled lavender, spun sugar, dried marigold, and squeezed lemonade, splattered them with white paint and shimmer spray, and cut them both out with the new Circle of Waves die. I adhered the sunset to the top and the ocean to the bottom popping every other wave with foam tape and trimmed the edges with scissors.

Next, I stamped the images from the new Oceans of Love stamp set, colored the images with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added them to the to the sunset and ocean circles either with glue or foam tape for lots of dimension. I then cut the ‘SEA‘ from pink foil cardstock and used foam tape to place it around the circle and finished with the sentiment heat embossed in white on a black banner!

Now you can hop along with all the inspiration and the new release is available for you now too!

Thank you for stopping by!

Day 3 of Countdown to Confetti July Release

It is our final day of reveals and I have a couple of fabulous cards to sharing using the critter sets in this release, Hummingbird & Oceans of Love stamp sets!

For my first card, I used the new Hummingbird stamp set with the new Peekaboo Cover Panel which is just perfect to use your embroidery thread with!

I used these Reverse Confetti products for my design:

I began my card with a 6 1/2 x 5 card base.

For the background, I first inked a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with wild honey, mustard seed, and squeezed lemonade, ran it through with the Peekaboo Cover Panel and threaded some different colored embroidery thread to match my colors on my images. I glued this to the center of my card base.

Next, I stamped the hummingbirds and flowers on watercolor paper, colored them with Zig watercolor markers (yellow, light green, persian blue, and violet), and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then cut the layered ‘HI‘ with the top layer from watercolor paper and colored with the light green Zig marker. I arranged the images around using foam tape for some added dimension. I finished with the sentiment heat embossed in white on a black banner and sprinkled a few purple jewels around!

For my second card, I am highlighting the new Oceans of Love stamp set with the new Stitched Pinwheel Cover Panel die!

I used these Reverse Confetti products for this card:

I began my card with a 6 1/2 x 5 card base.

For my background, I die cut the Stitched Pinwheel Cover Panel twice, once from black cardstock and another from a piece of Bristol Smooth that I had inked with peacock feathers, salvaged patina, and tumbled glass and splattered with white paint and gold shimmer spray. I glued the black frame down in the center of card front and used foam tape to add the inked inserts.

Next, I stamped the images from the Oceans of Love set, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then die cut a layered ‘thanks‘ with the top from gold foil cardstock and stamped the sentiment on a trimmed banner. I arranged the images all around these using foam tape for great dimension and finished with some clear jewels!

I hope you have been inspired by the DT as we have shared our reveals for the July release and tomorrow is the big day when you can get your hands on these products!

Day 2 of Countdown to Confetti July Release

Today is Day 2 of the Countdown to Confetti’s July release for Reverse Confetti and I am sharing a few tags I made using the new Bloom stamp set and the amazing Circle Element die!

I used these Reverse Confetti products for my tags:

I began by cutting the tag bases from Kraft cardstock.

For the backgrounds, I cut 2 more tags from white cardstock, trimmed the tops, and cut the inlaid circles for a partial cut. I then ran the Circle Elements die through my machine using red, pink, and light pink cardstock and glued them into the inlays.

Next, I stamped the flowers, colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used foam tape to adhere them to the center of the circles and trimmed the edges. I finished with the stamped sentiment in black on Kraft banners that I adhered to the bottom of each tag with foam tape and added some black twine to tie it all together!

Day 1 of Countdown to Confetti July Release

We are on Day 1 of Reverse Confetti’s July Release and I am highlighting 2 new stamp sets for you today, Tropical Foliage and Lovely Day Sentiments! You can follow along at the end of my post to see all the inspiration from the DT and ‘Fetti Friends using these sets and don’t forget to comment for your chance to win!

I love how these oversized tropical leaves go perfectly with the large sentiments with the gorgeous fonts! I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base. I trimmed a piece of watercolor cardstock and used some zig colors (deep green, olive green, and mid green) to create my light colored background and splattered with the dark green and gold!

While that dried, I heat embossed the tropical leaves with gold on vellum and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used some of the zig colors on a few of the leaves to give some depth to them.

Next, I heat embossed the sentiment in white from the new Lovely Day Sentiments set on black cardstock and trimmed it down. I glued the leaves down to the card front and then used foam tape to pop up the sentiment in the center and finished with a sprinkle of green and gold jewels!

You can start following to see all the inspiration from the list below and come back tomorrow for Day 2 reveals! Make sure you leave a comment for your chance to win, We will be giving away a $15 gift certificate to one blog commenter and to one Facebook commenter.

Father’s Day Superhero!

Hello! Candice with you today sharing my Father’s Day card for my husband this year who loves superheroes!

I used these Reverse Confetti products to create my mini slimline design:

I began my mini slimline with a 6 1/2 x 4 card base.

For the background, I first extended the Head in the Clouds die to fit my mini slimline by using the partial die cut method (run the die through partway, rotate and lineup, and then run it partway through again!) and stamped the sentiments on the top and on the bottom.

I then trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock to fit behind the frame, inked with faded jeans, chipped sapphire, and black soot and splattered with white paint, gold shimmer spray, and black watercolor paint using a damp paintbrush.

While I let that dry, I stamped my superheroes, cityscapes, and speech bubble colored them with copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut out. I then heat embossed the ‘bam!‘ in gold in the center of the speech bubble.

Next, I inked a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with faded jean, die cut from the shadow ‘happy’ and topped it with the ‘happy‘ letters in red.

To put the card together, I lined up where the ‘happy‘ sits on the bottom and glued the cityscapes down and adhered the ‘happy‘ with foam tape. I then used foam tape to add the superheroes and speech bubble and finished with some red jewels!

Reverse Confetti May Release Inspirational Blog Hop

The new May release celebrating 8 wonderful years at Reverse Confetti is now available and we have a fabulous Inspirational Blog Hop for you using the new products!

I used these new Reverse Confetti products to create a fun shaker card:

I began with a 5 x 6 1/2 card base.

I first created the shaker by inking a piece of Bristol Smooth with blueprint sketch, salty ocean and tumbled glass and splattered with the blueprint sketch, gold shimmer spray and white paint using a damp paintbrush.

While I let that dry, I stamped the fishes, balloons and the celebrate, colored them with copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I fussy cut the Celebrate.

Next, I die cut the stitched oval panel, inked with seedless preserves, wilted violet and milled lavender, and adhered a piece of acetate behind the window. I then glued the colored fish onto the blue background, sprinkled some clear jewels and used a double layer of foam tape to seal the shaker.

I finished with a trimmed fishtail banner with the sentiment, topped it with the Celebrate and tucked the balloons in!
